The oldest university chorale in the country, the ACGC is recognized for its excellence, with awards in the College Choir Category of the 1980 National Music Competition for Young Artists, Best Traditional Music Album, and Best Pop Rendition of a Traditional Song in the 1996 Katha Awards, the Best Choral Group in the 2001 ALIW Awards.

Along with tours across the globe, the ACGC has participated in various festivals and reaped honors in competitions in Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Ireland, France and Germany. The summer of last year (2004), the group went on a two-month long US Concert Tour. Today the ACGC embarks on a new era in choral singing with its conductor Prof. Ma. Lourdes Hermo. Raymond Leslie Diaz and Arjay Viray ably assist her.
